How-To: Sign In Using Active Directory

Enterprise users whose organizations support StudioCDN’s Active Directory (ADFS) feature are now required to sign in to StudioCDN using their company credentials (often company email and password).

To Sign in with Active Directory:

  1. Navigate to the StudioCDN homepage: https://studiocdn.com and click the, “Sign In,” button.
  2. When prompted enter your company email address eg. example@Music.com and click, “Next.”

  3. Finally, when prompted enter your company email address and company email password and click, “Sign In,” to be taken to the StudioCDN portal page.

How-To: StudioCDN Web-App Quick Start Guide

StudioCDN Web-App Quick Start Guide:
To create and send a new package delivery using the StudioCDN web application, while viewing the, “Portal,” screen
1.) Navigate to and click the blue, New Package button to load the StudioCDN composer / editor.

2.)Next, locate the To field in the lower left section just outside editor screen and type the email address of the recipient(s) to which you would like to send a watermarked promo delivery. Alternatively you may add a list stored in the StudioCDN Lists chooser.

3.) Following, locate and drag the file(s) you wish to send, from your desktop or hard drive location and drop them in the gray section labeled Assets on the right side of the StudioCDN editor screen.

4.) Finally, navigate to and click the GREEN Send button in the top left corner of the editor screen to send the package and load the, Packages List Portal page.

StudioCDN List Feature Quick Start Guide:

3.) Click the Import CSV List Button and Choose an Existing .CSV List

Switching Between the Standard and Advanced Email Editors in the Package Editor: Thanks to a recent update we have added the ability to change between the StudioCDN Advanced and Standard Editors directly from the StudioCDN Package Editor.

To change between the Standard and Advanced Editors simply click the editor button *.

To Make the StudioCDN Advanced Editor the default email editor; from any screen in the StudioCDN web-app,
1.) Navigate to and click the Gear Icon User Preferences icon in the top right corner of the StudioCDN web-app to to access the StudioCDN Preferences / Control Panel.2.) Located at the bottom of the StudioCDN Preferences / Control Panel page, Navigate to and tick the desired, “Standard Editor,” or, “Advanced Editor,” option.

3.) Navigate to and click the the, “Save and Close,” button located at the top of the StudioCDN Preferences / Control Panel page  to be taken back to your StudioCDN portal Packages list.

4.) From the StudioCDN packages list, click the, “New Package,” button; Your StudioCDN editor will now default to the Advanced Editor and display a default template; this template may be customized and saved for further use, or you may pick from any number of our free delivery templates via. the, “Download,” button in the StudioCDN templates menu or via. the StudioCDN Templates Direct link.

How To: Send a Singe File from a StudioCDN to Your box Account

-Locate and Click the Send to box icon next to the desired asset.
-Follow the on-screen prompts to authorize StudioCDN to send files to your box account.
-Once complete click the, “Open Files in box,” in the Upload Complete overlay to view the delivery in your box account.
How To: Send Multiple / All Files from a StudioCDN to Your box Account

-Tick the box next each asset you would like to download or Click the, “Select All,” button.
-Click the, “Send to box,” button.
-Follow the on-screen prompts to authorize StudioCDN to send files to your box account.
-Once complete click the, “Open Files in box,” in the Upload Complete overlay to view the delivery in your box account.

How-To Download And Stream Files Received Via. StudioCDN Delivery

How-To Download and Stream StudioCDN Received Deliveries:

To Stream and / or Download files received via. the StudioCDN secure content delivery system…

    1. Click or Copy & Paste the secure link contained in your StudioCDN email notification into your preferred browser.This link typically begins and ends with https://delivery.studiocdn.com/…../lander
    2. While on the StudioCDN file download page, click the blue Accept button under the Copyright and Link Protection acknowledgment to remove the warning.
    3. You may now Stream the Audio / Video files using the Media Player to the right, or Download / Send individual files by clicking the Download Icon to the right of each file under the Audio / Video heading. You may also send individual files to box by clicking the icon next to each asset.Alternatively, recipients wishing to download all files contained in this delivery may do so using the Download All browser extension for ChromeFireFox, or Safari.To add the Download All browser extension to Chrome or FireFox, use the links below.

The MSI Multiple File Download plugin enables recipients to download multiple files to a desired directory in a single click.
The Multiple File Download plugin is available for the Chrome, FireFox, and Safari web-browsers.

Operating the MSI Multiple File Download plugin Chrome / FireFox

-Navigate to your StudioCDN delivery using your FireFox web-browser.
-Locate and Click the MSI Download All plugin iconfrom the address bar.
-Set / Change the desired, “Destination*,” or, “Use Default,” (typically FireFox or Chrome default download directory).
-Click Download

*Typing a name (eg. SR – Remaster Compilation) in the Destination field of the plugin will create a new folder in the FireFox default download directory.

Send: Overview

Overview: StudioCDN’s web-app email editor interface is broken down in to 4 sections that control who, what, where, and how assets are delivered to recipients.

  1. Send To – Recipients field allowing senders to add individual or lists of recipients.
  2. Assets & Info – Drag and Drop, Click and Choose, or Upload from Box, Dropbox, or OneDrive using CloudConnect; Add Artist and Project Information Under Landing Page Details.
  3. Content Protection Settings – Watermark, Download, Forward, LinkLock and Scheduler Settings.
  4. Email Editor – Advanced Editor Option*.

*Please Note: Feature not available in the StudioCDN desktop application. Advanced Editor shown.

Send: What’s Required?

Requirements: To send a delivery with StudioCDN each package must contain the following three elements: Recipient(s), Asset(s), and Download Link. With the release of the StudioCDN web-application, deliveries in preparation undergo a continuous, “Flight Check*,” process to assure the three required elements (Recipient, Asset, and Download Link) are present during preparation.

Flight Check: Deliveries in preparation are displayed with the Send button in one of two states: RED or GREEN. Deliveries containing all three required elements will be displayed with a GREEN send button to indicate that the necessary elements for delivery are present and ready to be sent or scheduled. Deliveries not containing all necessary elements will have the Send button displayed in RED with an accompanying pop-up dialog identifying the missing element(s). Adding all missing elements as indicated by the onscreen Flight Check dialog will change the Send button from RED to GREEN indicating that the required elements are now present and the delivery is ready to be sent or scheduled.

*Please Note: Flight Check not available in the StudioCDN desktop application.

Send: Sending to Contacts Using the List Feature

send to studiocdn listsSending to Contacts Using the StudioCDN List Feature: To send to one or more active lists using the StudioCDN List feature, start by Creating or Importing to a New List (How To: ).

From the Package Editor page…

-Click the Browse Button in the Send To Field on the Left to View Active Lists
-Select the Desired Active Lists*
-Complete the Package by Adding Assets, Subject, Body, and Click Send

*Please Note: When adding multiple lists total recipient count may differ from the additive of each list due to StudioCDN’s de-dupe feature.

Send: Schedule

 

Schedule: The Schedule* option gives users the ability to prepare deliveries now to be automatically sent at a later date and time.

Scheduling a delivery can be done from the date field at the top of the menu bar by selecting the desired date / time of delivery from the calendar menu drop down.

Scheduling a delivery can be done up to 60 days in advance of the desired delivery date and may be edited / cancelled up to 30 minutes prior to scheduled send time.

*Please Note: Scheduling feature not available in the StudioCDN desktop application.

Send: Auto Save / Save & Close

Auto-Save: By default all deliveries in preparation are considered drafts. The new StudioCDN automatically saves deliveries in preparation to drafts every 30 seconds.

Save and Close*: The, Save and Close option allows senders to manually Save and Close a delivery by clicking the SAVE AND CLOSE ICON icon, and return to the Portal page. 

*Please Note: It is advised that senders use this option when exiting a draft to assure Sender’s place in preparation is held. Likewise all drafts should be given a descriptive subject during preparation for easy search and
retrieval by sender. Save and Close / Auto-Save features
 not available in the StudioCDN desktop application.

Send: Discard Draft

Discard Draft*: By default all deliveries in preparation are considered drafts. The Discard Draft option allows senders to delete the current delivery draft and return to the Portal page Package List.

*Please Note: When using the Discard Draft option, all data in the current delivery will be immediately deleted and all assets will be purged. Data in a discarded draft is not recallable. Discard Draft feature not available in the StudioCDN desktop application.

Send: Clone

Clone: With the release of the StudioCDN web-application Senders now have the ability to Clone sent packages from Delivery Details for each non-draft / scheduled deliveries. Similar to Resend, clicking the Clone option allows Senders to replicate a previously sent delivery including recipients, assets, subject, body, and content settings. However whereas the Resend option replicates and sends the package to a single recipient in its entirety, the Clone option allows senders to edit every aspect of the delivery and send or schedule to all, any, or none of the original recipients.

Please Note*: The Clone option also appears under Delivery Details: Clone. Clone feature not available to StudioCDN Desktop Client users.

Content Settings: Delivery Expiration


Delivery Expiration: This feature allows senders to specify the length of time for which a delivery is to remain active up to 60 days from send.

By default, deliveries carry the 5 day expiration option, senders wishing to elect a longer or shorter expiration period may do so by clicking in the Expires field in the menu bar and selecting the desired expiration date.

Alternatively senders may elect a longer or shorter expiration window as default in the User Preferences GEAR USER PREF control panel of the StudioCDN Portal.

*Please Note: Delivery expiration may not be disabled, only the pre-defined (1, 5, 14 day) expiration options may be used.

Content Settings

Content Settings: Overview


Content Protection Settings: StudioCDN contains a number Content Protection Settings to aid in keeping user data secure and trackable should content ever leak. The degree of data security within a specific delivery is directly attributed to the Content Protection Settings selected by the sender prior to sending the delivery.

Content Protection Setting icons may be depicted in one of two states: Grey or Blue and indicates the options current status.

An icon depicted in Blue indicates that the specific option is currently enabled, whereas Icons depicted in Grey indicate that the specific option is currently disabled.

Content Settings: Watermark Content


Watermark Content: Depicted by the  icon in the editors content settings bar. This feature currently pertains to the watermarking of audio and video file formats only.

By default the Watermark Content feature is enabled*. Senders wishing to deliver parcels without embedding watermarks may disable the Watermark Content feature by clicking the  icon in the editors menu bar, the icon will turn from  to  indicating the Watermark Content feature has been disabled

*Please Note: Watermark Content may only be turned off on a per-delivery basis only.

Content Settings: Allow Download / Stream Only


Allow Download: Depicted by the  icon in the editors menu bar, this feature pertains to audio and video files only*. When enabled, this option permits recipients to download audio and video content of a particular parcel.

By default all deliveries are sent Stream Only, senders wishing to Allow Download of audio / video content may enable this feature on a per-delivery basis by clicking on the Allow Download options from the editors menu bar, the icon will turn from  to  indicating the Allow Download option has been enabled for the current delivery.

Alternatively users may enable the Allow Download option as a default in the User Preferences  control panel of the StudioCDN Portal.

*Please Note: The Allow Download option only affects the downloading of Audio / Video files, all other files are made available for download regardless of this option.

Content Settings: Allow Forwarding


Secure Forwarding: Depicted by the  icon in the editors menu bar. When enabled this feature grants recipients the ability to Forward* received parcels from the StudioCDN Landing Page (download page), replacing the current watermark with a unique embed to the forward recipient(s).

By default the Secure Forwarding option is disabled, senders may enable this option on a per-delivery basis by clicking the Allow Forwarding option from the editors menu bar, the icon will turn from  to  indicating the Secure Forwarding option has been enabled for the current delivery.

Alternatively users may enable the Secure Forwarding option as default in the User Preferences  control panel of the StudioCDN Portal.

 

Please Note: Forwarded parcels carry the Content Settings as set out in the original delivery and cannot be modified.

Content Settings: LinkLock (Link Protection)


Link Lock: Depicted by the  icon in the editors menu bar. When enabled this feature causes parcel access to lock to the first device and browser from which the link was accessed. By default the Link Lock option is enabled, senders may disable this option on a per-delivery basis by clicking the Link Lock option from the editors menu bar, the icon will turn from  to indicating the Link Lock option has been disabled for the current delivery.

Modify Content Settings: Overview

MOD CPS - OVERVIEWModify Content Settings: The StudioCDN portal contains a number of options allowing senders to modify the content settings of a particular delivery regardless of recipient activity.

Located in Delivery Details for all non-draft / scheduled deliveries, there are 5 Content Settings which can be modified post-send: Recall All, Forwarding Off*, Resend, Recall, and Link Lock*.

Changing any number of settings here can affect delivery access for individuals or all recipients depending on which of the options have been modified. Each of these 5 Content Settings changes and their results have been detailed in the following pages of this documentation.

Please Note*: With the exception of the Forwarding Off, and LinkLock* options, changes made here may be applied to the delivery or recipient respective of the desired outcome.

Modify Content Settings: Resend

MOD CPS - RESENDResend: Located in the recipients section under Delivery Details, this feature replicates and resends the specific parcel to the intended recipient*. Using the Resend option creates a separate delivery in the Packages List, and carries the same: subject line, email body, security settings, and assets, as contained in the original delivery.

*Please Note: The Resend option is applied at the recipient level and does not allow senders to modify the parcel, content, or settings. Enabling this option immediately replicates and sends the parcel to the intended recipient .

Modify Content Settings: Link Lock

MOD CPS - LINK LOCKLink Lock: Formerly Link Protection. Located in the recipients section under Delivery Details, this feature disables the browser locking option for the specified recipient’s* device, subsequently granting parcel access from any device and browser when using the recipient’s LinkLock disabled URL.

*Please Note: The Link Lock option is applied at the recipient level and cannot be enabled post-delivery. Senders should use caution when disabling this option as doing so enables parcel access to anyone in possession of the link.

The new StudioCDN email list feature allows senders to create, upload, store, edit, and send to email distribution lists of unlimited size directly from StudioCDN. Start by creating an empty list and add contacts manually, or import and edit existing CSV distribution lists used with previous versions of StudioCDN or form your address book.

Creating a List and Importing from CSV:  StudioCDN allows senders to create, import, store, and send to lists of contacts directly from the web-application.

To create and import contacts from an existing list navigate to the Lists tab.

From the Add / Edit List page

-Give your List a Name*

-Click, “Choose,” to import your existing CSV list

To import an existing CSV distribution list to one or more active lists.

From the Add / Edit List page

-Select your List(s) from the Active List Drop Down*
-Click the, “Import CSV List,” button and locate your list on your local drive
-Click, “Choose,” to import your existing CSV list

*Please Note: You must select an active lists to begin CSV import.

Lists: Remove a Single Contact from All Lists

Remove a Single Contact from All Lists: To remove a single contact from all active lists.

-Select a List in the List Chooser on the Left
-Check the Box Next to the Contact to be Removed
-Click the Edit Selected Button
-Click the Delete Everywhere Button

Once clicked the contact will be removed from all currently active lists stored in StudioCDN.

Design: Accessing the Advanced Editor from the Package Editor

Accessing the Standard and Advanced Email Editors in the Package Editor: Thanks to a recent update we have added the ability to change between the StudioCDN Advanced and Standard Editors directly from the StudioCDN Package Editor.

To change between the Standard and Advanced Editors simply click the editor button *.

*Please Note: When switching between editors some mark ups may not be saved.

Design: Activating the Advanced Editor as Default

Activating the Advanced Editor as Default:  The StudioCDN Advanced Editor enables senders to arrange and design media rich email deliveries with ease using drag and drop customizable content blocks.

By default new accounts created on the StudioCDN system are set to the Standard Editor requiring sender’s to activate the Advanced Editor in the user preferences section of StudioCDN.

To activate the StudioCDN advanced Editor from anywhere inside of StudioCDN…

  • Click the user preferences Icon [Preferences Quick Link]
  • Locate and Tick the Advanced Editor Option
  • Click Save and Close
  • Click New Package

Design: General Email Body Options

General Email Body Options: Clicking the Body tab in the StudioCDN advanced editor brings up the global email body settings allowing senders to edit the following options.

  • Content Area Width: Adjusts the maximum width of the email’s content area. For email client optimization exceeding 600px width is not recommended.
  • Background Color: Set a desired color to be displayed outside of the content area.
  • Content Area Background Color: Set a color to be displayed within the content area.
  • Default Font: Set a global font for the entire email deliver.
  • Link Color: Customize link color to match the email design.

Design: Adding Structure and Content Blocks

Adding Structure and Content Blocks: The StudioCDN advanced editor allows senders to create media rich deliveries using the Advanced Editor Content and Structure blocks. By default the StudioCDN advanced editor will display a single column template which can be used, edited, and saved as default.

To edit the default template or create your own templates from the StudioCDN Advanced Editor…

  • Click the Structure tab and drag and drop the desired Structure column block to the editor section.
  • Click the Content tab and drag and drop the desired Content atop of the previously placed Structure column block.
  • Edit and customize content blocks through the selected content block menu to the right.

Caveat: When designing from scratch place structure blocks before adding and editing content blocks.

Design: Adding Row Background Images

Adding Row Background Images: StudioCDN now allows senders to add background images to structure blocks for display behind text and other content.

To add a background image to any structure block…

  • Add or Hover and click the desired structure block*.
  • Enable the Row Background Image Option toggle from the row properties menu.
  • Click Change Image to upload or add an image via. URL.
  • Tick Full Width, Repeat, and Center options as desired.
  • Add a background color for backup email client compatibility**.

*Email client compatibility: The StudioCDN editor uses advanced email design techniques to ensure that background images are rendered on most email clients. According to our most recent tests, the only email clients for which background images were not shown, were:

  • Outlook (background images appear to work on Outlook 2016 on OS X, not in other versions)
  • Lotus Notes 7
  • Xfinity / Comcast email client

**For those email clients – and for best results when images are blocked – make sure that you set a background color for the row that works well in the absence of the background image.

Design: Edit Images In StudioCDN

Edit Images In StudioCDN: StudioCDN provides senders with a full image editing suit located conveniently inside of any content block inserted inside the StudioCDN Advanced Editor.

To edit images inside of the StudioCDN…

  • Add an image to any available image content block in the editor.
  • Click Edit Image from the Content Image Content Properties
  • Select the desired feature from the Image Editing carousel to begin editing.
  • Once complete click Save to save and update the image displayed in the content block.

Design: Add Youtube & Vimeo Content

Add Youtube & Vimeo Content: The StudioCDN Advanced Editor allows sender’s to insert video content hosted on Youtube & Vimeo directly in to the StudioCDN email delivery displaying the hosted video’s thumbnail and customizable play icons.

To add a YouTube or Vimeo video link to your delivery using the Advanced Editor*

  • Locate and drag the Video Content Block from the Content Tab.
  • Click Add a Video URL
  • Paste the YouTube or Vimeo link in the Video URL box under Content Properties
  • Customize Play Icon / Size and Padding and design

*Feature not available in the StudioCDN Standard Editor

Receive: Overview

Overview: Received content served via. the StudioCDN Landing Page accessible through the download / view link provided in the sender’s delivery email. Currently, there are 2 methods in which StudioCDN makes Audio and Video* content available to recipients: Download and / or Stream, with method of access and length of availability dependent on the Content Protection Settings established by sender, during preparation.

*Please Note: Non-Audio / Video content is always accessible by download to recipients.

Receive: Landing (download) Page

StudioCDN Landing Page: Accessible via. the download link provided in the sender’s email, the StudioCDN Landing Page is a temporary, unique content host furnishing uploaded assets, for a specific recipient, for a pre-determined length of time.

Access to this page is contingent upon the Content Protection Settings enabled by sender during preparation. Senders may further change, restrict, or revoke access, to a parcel at any time from the Delivery Details page for the specific delivery.

Stream: Received Audio / Video files are always streamable* within your web browser. Clicking the desired file from the Audio / Video assets beneath the player loads and plays the selected file in the embedded player.

Stream Only: Deliveries displaying the, “Stream,” button to the right of the listed audio / video assets have been designated as, “Stream Only,” packages in which audio / video assets may only be streamed via. the StudioCDN on-page player. Please Note: All non-audio / video assets included in the delivery (eg. documents, images, zip files, etc…) will be available for download by the recipients.

Receive: Download / Download All / Send to Box

Download / Send to box: If Download* has been enabled by the Sender during preparation, a download DLICON copyor box  icon will appear at the far right of the title row, beneath the Audio/Video heading. Clicking the download icon will begin the download to the default directory. 

Download All / Send All to box**: Alternatively if a delivery contains a number of downloadable files recipients may use the MSI Download All Extension for the Chrome, FireFox, or Safari web-browsers or Send to box feature by clicking the Select All button from the delivery landing page and then clicking the Download or Send to box button.

*Please Note: Non-Audio / Video content is always accessible by download to recipients.
**Clicking the box icon will begin the process of logging in and authorizing the cross load to box.

Send to box Feature: With the latest StudioCDN Landing Page Update recipients may now cross load downloadable assets to their personal box account. Simply click the  Send to Box Icon next to each asset you would like to download, or Tick / Select All and Click the Send to Box button and follow the onscreen prompts to login and authorize StudioCDN to send the selected files to your box account.

Receive: Secure Forward

Secure Forward: If the Secure Forward option has been enabled by the sender during preparation, a Forward to Email field will appear under the Info heading on the recipient landing. Here recipients may type an email address to forward the received parcel to recipient(s) of choice, re-watermarked to the new recipient.

Portal

Portal: Overview

The StudioCDN Portal: Presented immediately following login, the StudioCDN Portal is the central hub of the StudioCDN system. Here senders may view, modify, and edit, deliveries and drafts prepared from their account.

The StudioCDN Portal consists of 3 sections: Packages List, Delivery Details, and Recipient Activity, presented in order from general to specific, with each successive section accessible from the former.

Packages List: Viewable immediately following login, here senders are presented with a running list of all drafts and deliveries contained in their StudioCDN account.

Delivery Details: Viewable by clicking the Subject Line link for all non-draft / scheduled deliveries contained in the Packages List, here senders are presented with detailed information on the preparation and delivery of a particular delivery. From this view senders have the ability to modify delivery preference and settings.

Recipient Activity: Viewable by clicking the View Activity link for all non-draft / scheduled parcels having been accessed by recipient, here senders are presented with highly detailed information on the who, what, and how, assets contained in a particular parcel were accessed by an individual recipient.

Packages List: Overview

PACKAGES LIST - OVERVIEWOverviewPackages List Located in the StudioCDN Portal immediately following login, here senders may view a running list of all drafts and deliveries contained in their StudioCDN account. There are currently 5 View options and a Search feature to aide senders in locating deliveries from the Packages List: All, Active, Drafts, Expired (Recalled), and Scheduled. Deliveries in each of these views can be further identified by Subject, Artist, and Date sent*, appearing in their respective columns.

*Please Note: Deliveries in each view option are presented in chronological order, this function cannot be changed.

Packages List: View All

STAT VIEW - ALLView All: By default the view All option is displayed post-login. Deliveries grouped under this Package List view option make up all: Active, Draft, Expired / Recalled, and Scheduled package types.

Clicking the subject line link here displays the Delivery Details and Content Settings options of the specific non-draft / scheduled delivery.

Packages List: View Active

STAT VIEW - ACTView Active: Deliveries displayed in this view option make up all currently Active deliveries in the senders account. Senders wishing to view Active deliveries exclusively may do so by clicking the Active option from the left column.

Content for each delivery displayed in the Active Package list is currently accessible to the specified recipients having not reached the designated 1, 5, or 14 day expiration period, and sender has not revoked delivery access from all recipients using the Recall All feature*.

Clicking the subject line link here displays the Delivery Details and Content Settings options of the specific delivery.

*Please Note:  Deliveries recalled from one or more individual recipients will continue to be displayed as Active provided the delivery has not reached the expiration date and / or the Recall All option has not been enabled.

Packages List: View Drafts

STAT VIEW - DRAFTView Drafts: Deliveries displayed in this view option make up all Draft deliveries in the senders account. Senders wishing to view draft deliveries only may do so by clicking the Drafts option from the left column.

By definition, deliveries displayed here are considered, “In Preparation,” awaiting completion and / or transmission. Clicking the subject line link here displays the editor for the draft, from here senders may choose to Change, Complete, Send, Schedule, or Discard* the current Draft.

Alternatively, senders may discard a Draft by clicking the TRASH ICONDiscard / Deleteoption (trashcan icon) to the right of the date column from the StudioCDN Portal.

*Please Note: Senders should exercise caution when using the Discard feature as this option causes the system to immediately delete the current / desired Draft delivery and purge its assets; this cannot be undone.

View Expired: Deliveries displayed in this view option make up all Expired and Recalled (from All) deliveries in the senders account. Senders wishing to view expired or recalled deliveries only may do so by clicking the Expired option from the left column.

Content for each delivery displayed here is inaccessible by recipients having reached the designated 1, 5, or 14 day expiration period, and / or sender has revoked delivery access from all recipients using the Recall All feature*.

Clicking the subject line link here displays the Delivery Details and Content Settings options of the specific delivery.

STAT VIEW - SCHEDView Scheduled: Deliveries displayed in this view option make up all Scheduled deliveries in the senders account. Senders wishing to view Scheduled deliveries only may do so by clicking the Scheduled option from the left column.

Deliveries displayed here are considered complete and awaiting the sender specified date / time for transmission. Clicking the subject line link here displays the editor for the scheduled delivery, from here senders may choose to Change, Edit, Send, Re-Schedule, or Discard* the current delivery.

Packages List: Label and Filter

Labels and filters make it easy to locate a previously tagged delivery. Once a delivery has been labeled senders may create label filters using any of the All, Active, Draft, Expired, and Scheduled headings to simplify a query and locate the labeled delivery.

To Label a delivery from the labels column in the StudioCDN packages list*

-Click the star label
-Select desired label color and your selection will be automatically saved
*Labels may also be selected using the star label option in either the StudioCDN Standard or Advanced editor of any Draft Delivery.

To create a filter to locate a labeled delivery, from the StudioCDN packages list**

-Click the Filter By option
-Select the desired color label to filter by
**Labels can be further filtered by selecting any one of the All, Active, Draft, Expired, or Scheduled package list headings to further simplify your query.

DEL DETAILS - DETAILSDetails: Fixed at the top of the left column of the Delivery Details page for all non-draft / scheduled deliveries. Delivery Details: Analytics

StudioCDN Analytics: With the latest update of the StudioCDN Web-App we have expanded our reporting and analytical capabilities with Graphed Delivery Activity including: Email Open, Accept, Stream and Download and Charted Streams and Downloads by day as well as a host of other in page or exportable activity reports.

To view charted analytics for your deliveries please locate and click on a delivery link from the StudioCDN portal to open the delivery details page, if a delivery shows activity Graphed Delivery Activity and Charted Streams and Downloads will be visible on the delivery details page.

Current Status: Fixed in the center of the left column in Delivery Details for all non-draft / scheduled deliveries. Here, senders can locate the Current Status of a particular delivery as displayed through one of the following 3 Current Status messages: Active, Expired, and Recalled.

Delivery Details: Clone

CLONE

Clone: With the release of the StudioCDN web-application Senders now have the ability to Clone sent packages from Delivery Details for each non-draft / scheduled deliveries. Similar to Resend, clicking the Clone option allows Senders to replicate a previously sent delivery including recipients, assets, subject, body, and content settings. However whereas the Resend option replicates and sends the package to a single recipient in its entirety, the Clone option allows senders to edit every aspect of the delivery and send or schedule to all, any, or none of the original recipients.

Please Note*: The Clone option also appears under Send: Clone. Clone feature not available to StudioCDN Desktop Client users.

View Activity: Overview

VIEW RECIP ACT - OVERVIEWVIEW ACT - CONT OVERVIEWView Activity: Located in the recipients section of Delivery Details for all non-draft / scheduled deliveries, here recipients are displayed with one of two possible status messages: No Activity or View Activity.

Recipients having accessed a particular delivery will be displayed with the View Activity link status message next to their email address, clicking View Activity displays the individual recipient’s activity report.

View Activity: Recipient Activity Report

VIEW RECIP ACT - OVERVIEW INSRecipient Activity Report: Accessed through the View Activity link (when present) in Delivery Details for all non-draft / scheduled deliveries, the following 5 Sections illustrate a recipients activity in accessing a specific parcel.

Recipient: Located at the top of the activity screen, displays the email address of the Recipient of which activity report is currently being viewed.

File: Located in the table below Recipient, this column lists each file the recipient has accessed. Files appearing in this column more than once* have been accessed on multiple devices, browsers, or through different Methods.

Received: Located in the table to the right of the File heading, this column lists the Date of access* for each file accessed from the parcel.

Method: Located in the table to the right of the Received heading, this column details the Method in which the files were accessed. There are two possible status messages that can be displayed in this section: Stream and Download.

IP Address: Located in the table to the right of the Method this column details the IP Address from which the recipient accessed the listed files.

*Please Note: Only content that has been accessed by the recipient will be displayed in the Activity Report.

Modify Content Settings: Overview

MOD CPS - OVERVIEWModify Content Settings: The StudioCDN portal contains a number of options allowing senders to modify the content settings of a particular delivery regardless of recipient activity.

Located in Delivery Details for all non-draft / scheduled deliveries, there are 5 Content Settings which can be modified post-send: Recall All, Forwarding Off*, Resend, Recall, and Link Lock*.

Changing any number of settings here can affect delivery access for individuals or all recipients depending on which of the options have been modified. Each of these 5 Content Settings changes and their results have been detailed in the following pages of this documentation.

Please Note*: With the exception of the Forwarding Off, and LinkLock* options, changes made here may be applied to the delivery or recipient respective of the desired outcome.

MOD CPS - RECALL ALLRecall All: Located immediately above the recipients column on the Delivery Details page, enabling this feature immediately revokes access to a specific delivery, for all recipients. Attempting access following Recall All* displays a 410 Status Error –  Page Not Available.

Modify Content Settings: Resend

MOD CPS - RESENDResend: Located in the recipients section under Delivery Details, this feature replicates and resends the specific parcel to the intended recipient*. Using the Resend option creates a separate delivery in the Packages List, and carries the same: subject line, email body, security settings, and assets, as contained in the original delivery.

*Please Note: The Resend option is applied at the recipient level and does not allow senders to modify the parcel, content, or settings. Enabling this option immediately replicates and sends the parcel to the intended recipient .

Modify Content Settings: Link Lock

MOD CPS - LINK LOCKLink Lock: Formerly Link Protection. Located in the recipients section under Delivery Details, this feature disables the browser locking option for the specified recipient’s* device, subsequently granting parcel access from any device and browser when using the recipient’s LinkLock disabled URL.

*Please Note: The Link Lock option is applied at the recipient level and cannot be enabled post-delivery. Senders should use caution when disabling this option as doing so enables parcel access to anyone in possession of the link.

Preferences: Overview

Control Panel - OverviewPreferences: The StudioCDN control panel provides Senders the ability to establish a set of defaults for the customization of their account; senders wishing to customize the defaults of their account may do so via. the User Preferences  control panel* for their account.

Currently there are 4 Content Setting defaults in the User Preferences control panel that a sender may modify: Allow Download, Allow Forwarding, delivery Expiration (1, 5, 14 days), and Two-Step Verification. In addition senders also have the ability to create a custom Subject, Body, and Signature, default within the respectively titled fields in the User Preference control panel.

*Please Note: For most senders StudioCDN’s pre-established defaults will suffice, modifying defaults here carries changes throughout all subsequent deliveries and may affect the manner in which recipients may view and access the content.

Preferences: Allow Download

PREF AND DEF - ALLOW DLAllow Download: Set to Off / Stream Only by default for all new accounts, this option pertains to the downloading audio and video files only. Enabling this option grants recipients the ability to download audio and video assets from all subsequent deliveries*.

*Please Note: The Allow Download option is not applied retroactively; when allow download is disabled recipients may still download non audio / video files included in a delivery. User’s regularly sending Stream Only deliveries should not modify this default, rather senders should enable the Allow Download option during preparation on a delivery by delivery basis.

Preferences: Allow Forward

PREF AND DEF - ALLOW FWDAllow Forwarding: Set to Off by default for all new accounts, enabling this option grants recipients the ability to forward a parcel from the StudioCDN landing page (download page) to any email address, re-watermarked to the recipient of the forward*.

*Please Note: Senders regularly delivering sensitive content should not modify this default, rather senders should enable the Allow Forwarding option during preparation on a delivery by delivery basis.

Expiration: Set to 5 days by default for all new accounts, modifying this option allows senders to elect an alternative expiration period from the 1, 5, or 14 days* choices.

Two-Factor Authentication Two-Step Verification: Disabled by default for all new accounts, enabling this option adds an additional layer of security to senders accounts through an SMS Authentication Code* and sender Challenge Questions in effort to prevent against unauthorized account access.

Once enabled, users attempting to change passwords or modify certain security settings will be required to provide an Authentication Code sent via. SMS to the mobile phone on record and answer a series of Challenge Questions prior to modifying these settings.

*Please Note: Two-Step Verification requires a mobile phone with the ability to receive SMS (text) messages, standard messaging rates may apply.

StudioCDN Inbox Panel

StudioCDN Inbox add to calendar feature

Inbox: The StudioCDN Inbox feature allows account holders to receive files from external users via. unique, recallable, inbox links. StudioCDN account not required for Inbox Senders.

The StudioCDN Inbox Panel is made up of the following 5 sections: 

1.) HTML Email Editor providing senders the ability to add notes and copy to be displayed via. email in their submission. 2.) Drag and Drop Assets panel to the right allows senders to upload their files via. Drag and Drop, Browse and Select, or upload assets from DropBox, Box, or OneDrive, with the all new CloudConnect option. 3.) The Content Settings area at the top of the editor allows senders to set the delivery expiration for the inbox files, delivery expiration may be set for a maximum of 60 days. 4.) Project Info pane to the left allows senders to display the project info of the delivery on the landing page. 5.) File Delivery Details to Calendar, allows senders to record file delivery details to their computers calendar providing a record of the entire inbox delivery.
