Adding Structure and Content Blocks: The StudioCDN advanced editor allows senders to create media rich deliveries using the Advanced Editor Content and Structure blocks. By default the StudioCDN advanced editor will display a single column template which can be used, edited, and saved as default.

To edit the default template or create your own templates from the StudioCDN Advanced Editor…

  • Click the Structure tab and drag and drop the desired Structure column block to the editor section.
  • Click the Content tab and drag and drop the desired Content atop of the previously placed Structure column block.
  • Edit and customize content blocks through the selected content block menu to the right.

Caveat: When designing from scratch place structure blocks before adding and editing content blocks.

Design: Activating the Advanced Editor as Default

Activating the Advanced Editor as Default:  The StudioCDN Advanced Editor enables senders to arrange and design media rich email deliveries with ease using drag and drop customizable content blocks.

By default new accounts created on the StudioCDN system are set to the Standard Editor requiring sender’s to activate the Advanced Editor in the user preferences section of StudioCDN.

To activate the StudioCDN advanced Editor from anywhere inside of StudioCDN…

  • Click the user preferences Icon [Preferences Quick Link]
  • Locate and Tick the Advanced Editor Option
  • Click Save and Close
  • Click New Package

Design: Add Youtube & Vimeo Content

Add Youtube & Vimeo Content: The StudioCDN Advanced Editor allows sender’s to insert video content hosted on Youtube & Vimeo directly in to the StudioCDN email delivery displaying the hosted video’s thumbnail and customizable play icons.

To add a YouTube or Vimeo video link to your delivery using the Advanced Editor*

  • Locate and drag the Video Content Block from the Content Tab.
  • Click Add a Video URL
  • Paste the YouTube or Vimeo link in the Video URL box under Content Properties
  • Customize Play Icon / Size and Padding and design

*Feature not available in the StudioCDN Standard Editor

How-To: Sign In Using Active Directory

Enterprise users whose organizations support StudioCDN’s Active Directory (ADFS) feature are now required to sign in to StudioCDN using their company credentials (often company email and password).

To Sign in with Active Directory:

  1. Navigate to the StudioCDN homepage: https://studiocdn.com and click the, “Sign In,” button.
  2. When prompted enter your company email address eg. example@Music.com and click, “Next.”

  3. Finally, when prompted enter your company email address and company email password and click, “Sign In,” to be taken to the StudioCDN portal page.

Receive: Stream Only

Stream Only: Deliveries displaying the, “Stream,” button to the right of the listed audio / video assets have been designated as, “Stream Only,” packages in which audio / video assets may only be streamed via. the StudioCDN on-page player. Please Note: All non-audio / video assets included in the delivery (eg. documents, images, zip files, etc…) will be available for download by the recipients.

Delivery Details: Analytics

StudioCDN Analytics: With the latest update of the StudioCDN Web-App we have expanded our reporting and analytical capabilities with Graphed Delivery Activity including: Email Open, Accept, Stream and Download and Charted Streams and Downloads by day as well as a host of other in page or exportable activity reports.

To view charted analytics for your deliveries please locate and click on a delivery link from the StudioCDN portal to open the delivery details page, if a delivery shows activity Graphed Delivery Activity and Charted Streams and Downloads will be visible on the delivery details page.

How To: Send a Singe File from a StudioCDN to Your box Account

-Locate and Click the Send to box icon next to the desired asset.
-Follow the on-screen prompts to authorize StudioCDN to send files to your box account.
-Once complete click the, “Open Files in box,” in the Upload Complete overlay to view the delivery in your box account.
How To: Send Multiple / All Files from a StudioCDN to Your box Account

-Tick the box next each asset you would like to download or Click the, “Select All,” button.
-Click the, “Send to box,” button.
-Follow the on-screen prompts to authorize StudioCDN to send files to your box account.
-Once complete click the, “Open Files in box,” in the Upload Complete overlay to view the delivery in your box account.

Send to box Feature: With the latest StudioCDN Landing Page Update recipients may now cross load downloadable assets to their personal box account. Simply click the  Send to Box Icon next to each asset you would like to download, or Tick / Select All and Click the Send to Box button and follow the onscreen prompts to login and authorize StudioCDN to send the selected files to your box account.

The MSI Multiple File Download plugin enables recipients to download multiple files to a desired directory in a single click.
The Multiple File Download plugin is available for the Chrome, FireFox, and Safari web-browsers.

Operating the MSI Multiple File Download plugin Chrome / FireFox

-Navigate to your StudioCDN delivery using your FireFox web-browser.
-Locate and Click the MSI Download All plugin iconfrom the address bar.
-Set / Change the desired, “Destination*,” or, “Use Default,” (typically FireFox or Chrome default download directory).
-Click Download

*Typing a name (eg. SR – Remaster Compilation) in the Destination field of the plugin will create a new folder in the FireFox default download directory.

How-To: Make the Advanced Editor the Default Email Editor

Make the StudioCDN Advanced Email Editor the Default Email Editor:
To Make the StudioCDN Advanced Editor the default email editor; from any screen in the StudioCDN web-app,
1.) Navigate to and click the Gear Icon User Preferences icon in the top right corner of the StudioCDN web-app to to access the StudioCDN Preferences / Control Panel.2.) Located at the bottom of the StudioCDN Preferences / Control Panel page, Navigate to and tick the desired, “Standard Editor,” or, “Advanced Editor,” option.

3.) Navigate to and click the the, “Save and Close,” button located at the top of the StudioCDN Preferences / Control Panel page  to be taken back to your StudioCDN portal Packages list.

4.) From the StudioCDN packages list, click the, “New Package,” button; Your StudioCDN editor will now default to the Advanced Editor and display a default template; this template may be customized and saved for further use, or you may pick from any number of our free delivery templates via. the, “Download,” button in the StudioCDN templates menu or via. the StudioCDN Templates Direct link.
